Tinsel is a shop focusing exclusively on contemporary jewellery designed and hand-made by some of South Africa’s most exciting jewellers. Owned by Geraldine Fenn, Tinsel proudly supports local design – providing a great space for jewellers to showcase their work where it is accessible to discerning customers. We are very passionate about local contemporary jewellery, and our goal is to make a big impact on consumers – encouraging them to choose the work of talented South Africans over imported jewellery.

There is so much exciting new design happening here for us to be proud of: that’s the message of the shop, and we hope people walk away feeling inspired by the beautiful jewellery. Currently we stock work by around 20 designers, all of which is made by hand to the highest standards. This means that we have a huge variety to choose from, and there is always new and interesting stuff on display, in a range of different styles and materials.
